About this event

  • 6 hours

Tour five showcase homes of Riverside, open to the public for this event only, representing five of Riverside's most iconic architectural styles from Victorian to Midcentury Modern and everything in between. Also visit the landmark Peter J. Weber House, host of our Restoration Faire & Vintage Mercantile with raffle prizes, live music, and vendors selling vintage items from across the decades.

This is a self-guided tour with docents at each home. Home addresses will be sent to you shortly before the event. Your e-ticket or printed QR code will be required for entry to each home. You may visit the homes in any order you wish. Please be prepared to walk to each home from your various parking locations: residential neighborhoods fill up fast. Unfortunately, because these are vintage, private homes, we cannot guarantee ADA accessibility. Exterior photography of the homes is allowed and encouraged – please respect our generous homeowners and do not photograph the home interiors. The event will take place rain or shine.

$30 per attendee.

Online tickets sales will close Friday, May 17, 2024 at 8:00 pm. Same-day tickets will be available starting at 9:30 am at The Weber House for $35.

Frequently asked questions

Are children welcome to attend?

Yes, all children are welcome (kids under 12 can attend for free), but we encourage young ones to be held by the hand. Strollers must remain parked outside. For toddlers and older kids, we'll have crayons and coloring pages to learn about architecture.

Where are the homes located?

All homes are located in Riverside. You'll receive an email from us the week of the event with addresses, plus a link to Apple Maps and Google Maps guides for easy navigation.

How can I learn more about these homes?

We'll have printed souvenir tour books, free of charge with your ticket purchase, at each home. Tour books will contain historical detail about each home. Additionally, multiple docents will be posted at each home and will share information with you.

Can I visit the homes in any order, at my own pace?

Yes, absolutely! Doors open at 10:00 am and close shortly before 4:00 pm. Take your time enjoying each home in the sequence you prefer.

How does the raffle work?

We will have a variety of great raffle prizes at The Weber House (1510 University Avenue, behind the Courtyard by Marriott). Each ticket purchase entitles you to one raffle entry, but you may purchase more tickets if you wish. You must visit The Weber House to enter, but need not be present to win.

What is the Restoration Faire and Vintage Mercantile?

This annual addition to the Vintage Home Tour takes place in the parking lot of The Weber House (1510 University, behind the Courtyard by Marriott) and features our raffle, dozens of vendors selling a variety of vintage wares, and highlighted goods from our ongoing architectural salvage program.

Are the homes ADA accessible?

Unfortunately, because these are vintage, private homes, we cannot guarantee ADA accessibility. We will do our best to accommodate any needs you may have.

Can I photograph the homes?

Exterior photography of the homes is allowed and encouraged – please respect our generous homeowners and do not photograph the home interiors.

What if it's raining or if I become unable to attend?

The event will take place rain or shine. Refunds are available up to the day before the event if you wish to cancel or are unable to attend.

I'm not from Riverside - what else can I do while I'm visiting?

Riverside offers a wealth of experiences, from the historic landmark Mission Inn, to spectacular views from the walking trails on Mount Rubidoux, to The Cheech, a world-class museum of Latino art. Please ask any docent for dining and activity recommendations to enhance your visit.
